About the Picture:

Mystic and majestic, trees are considered ancient and sacred beings. Magnificent and mesmerising, trees have been part of fantasy, folklore and fiction since forever. Trees are often mythologized as fundamental elements that fuel life and existence. The Tree of Knowledge in the Garden of Eden in the Bible is the very first tree of symbolic meaning to enter human consciousness. Kabbalah, an esoteric discipline that originated in Judaism, adopts the other tree, the Tree of Life, in the Garden of Eden – rooted next to the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil. Ancient Chinese regularly adopted trees into their poems and literature.

Trees are also the root of living. For centuries, we have depended on trees, consciously or unconsciously. Since the beginning, trees have furnished us with two of life’s essentials, food and oxygen. As we evolved, they provided additional necessities such as shelter, medicine, and tools.

This painting of The Mysticity of Trees depicts the colour trees bring into our lives, their pulchritude, pricelessness and preciousness. It represents the wisdom and sinfully delicious temptation of the Tree of Knowledge, the methodology and philosophy of God’s creation from nowhere of the Tree of Life and the importance and significance of trees in our lives.
